We took our second baby class today. We already attended a six session Childbirth and Parenting class but the morning session did cover some new material on what is normal, choosing a pediatrician and infant health problems. The afternoon session was on Breast Feeding and Lactation. I’m not equipped for this- obviously- but I took notes for Maria and picked up some how-to tips on feeding, handling and preparation and an idea of what to expect such as typical sleep patterns (short, really short), growth patterns (two major spurts), how much babies eat (and urinate, and defecate) during the first eight to twelve weeks. I guess we’re now as ready as we’ll ever be.
